The online store was handling orders and shipping processes manually. When the business decided to move its warehousing and order fulfilment to Last Mile Logistics, it needed a reliable way to connect WooCommerce with the 3PL warehouse, without adding more manual work or interrupting daily operations.
Solution
We developed Last Mile Integration, a custom WooCommerce plugin that automates the communication between the e-shop and Last Mile’s 3PL services. Products and new orders are sent automatically to the warehouse, while stock updates, order statuses, and tracking information are sent back to WooCommerce. This helped the business move to a new logistics workflow with fewer errors, less manual work, and better control over growing order volume.

PLUGIN DEVELOPMENT
Last Mile Integration is a WordPress plugin that connects WooCommerce with Last Mile’s 3PL services. It handles the main logistics flow automatically: product synchronisation, order submission, stock updates, and order status updates. Store owners can manage API settings, field mapping, and sync options directly from the WordPress admin. The plugin is developed and maintained by Redcase Software.
Product Catalogue Synchronisation
WooCommerce → 3PL. The plugin sends product information from WooCommerce to the warehouse, including SKU, name, description, weight, dimensions, and barcodes. This ensures that each product exists in the 3PL system before orders start coming in.
Automatic Order Synchronisation
WooCommerce → 3PL. Every new order is sent automatically to the warehouse with its products and customer information. If an item has not been synchronised yet, the plugin sends the product first and then submits the order, helping avoid failed warehouse entries.
Stock Updates from the Warehouse
3PL → WooCommerce. The plugin receives inventory information from Last Mile and updates WooCommerce only when stock quantities have changed. This keeps product availability accurate without unnecessary updates in the database.
Order Status & Tracking Updates
3PL → WooCommerce. Last Mile sends order status updates and tracking numbers back to WooCommerce through webhooks. This keeps the store aligned with the warehouse, so the team does not need to manually check the 3PL portal for every order.
DESIGN
A warehouse integration designed to live inside the WooCommerce admin, where store teams already work.
The settings area follows familiar WooCommerce admin patterns, with grouped sections for API connection, stock synchronisation, webhooks, and field mapping. The goal was to make the integration manageable for store teams, not just developers.
CustomerCode mapping uses selectable WooCommerce order and customer fields, so the plugin does not assume that every store stores data in the same way. Sync actions, connection details, and status feedback remain visible from the same admin area, making the workflow easier to monitor.
